Phlox borealis

$10.00
sold out

A low-growing, mat-forming perennial native to the Arctic and subarctic regions of North America and northeastern Asia. It thrives in cold climates, favoring well-drained, sandy or rocky soils in full sun to partial shade. This hardy species (USDA Zones 2–6) is well-suited for alpine and rock gardens, offering delicate, pale violet to pink blooms in late spring to early summer. Highly resilient, it tolerates poor soils and extreme cold, making it ideal for northern or high-altitude landscapes.

The original plant material is from two of the most amazing east coast rock gardens I have ever seen those of Anne Speigal and Elisabeth Zander.
